Intensive interaction parent workshop

We are pleased to let you know that we are holding an intensive interaction workshop on Friday 25 October, 10am - 12pm, specifically designed for parents and carers to connect with pre-verbal children who have severe learning disabilities.

Intensive Interaction helps children to lead interactions, make choices and take control, enabling some extremely important communication learning as well as helping them to feel good about themselves.

These sessions are a natural and fun way to allow communication and social activity between parents and children.

If you think this approach can help you and your child, please contact Carol Jones, Play Therapist and Intensive Interaction Co-ordinator on 01342 832243 ext 369 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Feedback from parents

Quote Icon We were so apprehensive to send our son to a residential school but cannot believe the wonderful progress he has made and are so grateful to all the staff. The first time we returned from a term break he could not get out of the car quick enough with the biggest smile which was so reassuring. During his first break at home everyone commented on how much better his behaviour was and he was so much more relaxed himself. Thank-you.
