Chinese New Year

On Monday 11th February 2013 the students in school celebrated Chinese New Year through an event in the hall. The students learnt about the traditional ways of celebrating Chinese New Year decorated the hall with Chinese Lanterns, Spring Couplets and Snake themed artwork as 2013 is the Year of the Snake.

Each class presented information about what they had learnt in class about Chinese New Year and then enjoyed a banquet of Chinese food.

The Money God handed out a red envelope to each student which contained a gold coin to wish them wealth for the coming year. The event finished with a Lion Dance around the hall with music and students playing percussion instruments.

Quote Icon We cannot thank the incredible teaching team at St. Piers enough. The progress that our daughter has made in her learning (in every aspect) is amazing and she is so happy to go to school every day. St. Piers has been – and continues to be – a life changing experience for her. Absolutely outstanding in every way.
