Nursing

We have a dedicated and professional team of nurses on site at St Piers 24 hours per day, seven days per week during term time.

It’s made up of specialists in epilepsy, learning disabilities, mental health, paediatric and general nursing, which means we can provide the highest levels of care to our pupils, despite their varied and specific needs.

Just as importantly, because many of the children here have ongoing medical needs, they’re familiar with our staff – and relaxed around them. This makes a trip to the nurse far less distressing.

During the holidays, our nurses are on site 12 hours per day. Emergency cover is provided 365 days per year, 24 hours per day.

Feedback from parents

Quote Icon We were so apprehensive to send our son to a residential school but cannot believe the wonderful progress he has made and are so grateful to all the staff. The first time we returned from a term break he could not get out of the car quick enough with the biggest smile which was so reassuring. During his first break at home everyone commented on how much better his behaviour was and he was so much more relaxed himself. Thank-you.
