Science
Observing the world around them
We teach science with the aim of encouraging our pupils to observe and have an awareness of the world around them.
At St Piers, pupils can take part in:
- practical tasks, which develop the skills of doing and thinking, as well as increasing their knowledge and understanding
- our annual science week, in which they have great fun trying new experiments, learning new skills and interacting with their peers
Pupils are accredited for science in key stage 4 under AQA units and in the sixth form through the Moving On curriculum.
Sixth form curriculum
Students who progress to sixth form receive a curriculum specifically designed for 16-19 year olds.
