Parent's feedback

We always like to receive feedback here at the School. Here are some comments we have received to date, thank you to everyone who contributed:

My son has grown in confidence and now enjoys school. The school has helped my son progress mentally and physically. It is so reassuring to parents knowing all their child’s needs are being catered for.

I feel very fortunate that my son is able to go to St. Piers. He is given every opportunity to become confident and stimulated so that learning is fun. More importantly he is able to express his thoughts and feelings which make him feel he “belongs”, in a world where kids often feel “left out”.

My grandson has a severe epileptic condition. He has Lennox Gaustaut syndrome and difficult to control seizures. He can have many seizures throughout day and night. He was attending a special needs school but when he became the age of 16-17 years they could not meet his medical needs or physical needs. It was discussed that he would benefit from going to Young Epilepsy. How lucky he is to go there. It is an absolute school of excellence. He does and goes places that I never thought he would do. The heads, the teachers and all professional people are there to give and help with advice, care, and the vast experience of epilepsy. He cooks, swims, canoeing, archery and lots more. He is very happy and so am I. I do not worry about him as I have every confidence in everyone at the Young Epilepsy.

My son is very happy going to school. He has made progress in most areas and has made lots of friends. I would recommend St. Piers to anyone who has a child that is in need of a very caring school.

Education staff are very caring, focussed and experienced. Observational skills are amazing enabling them to adapt and change already individualised learning to fully meet the child’s needs, achieving very positive results. My son started Young Epilepsy in September 2015, the progress so far has been very positive and quite unbelievable. Very reassuring and encouraging for us as parents for our son’s achievements to come.

I am very pleased with my son. He has made new friends and hobbies. The school makes him happy to do lots of things. He is doing really well at school and learning.

Young Epilepsy give my son a chance to grow and learn in a safe environment with young people who have the same condition as him, so he no longer feels singled out.

St. Piers School has transformed our son. He is more independent, has learned extremely well, his conversation has improved in both content and intelligibility. We love that he attends here as it has the potential to change his life chances immeasurably. Thank goodness you exist!.

Our son is communicating his needs more clearly and improving in making choices. The teacher keeps us well informed on his progress.

My son loves the practical hands on approach to learning. He is able to tell us what he is learning.

My daughter has really enjoyed attending this school, no problem is ever too big to solve, teachers are on the ball and continually flag up any problems. Always highlight good points as well so a great balance. I would definitely recommend this school to other parents, definitely a cut above the rest.

How do you thank all at St. Piers School who understand your son’s complex needs, abilities and aspirations and make dreams come true – a happy complete child.

We are very happy with our son’s progress at this school under the care of his teacher. My husband and I are extremely happy with our son’s progress.

We cannot thank the incredible teaching team at St. Piers enough. The progress that our daughter has made in her learning (in every aspect) is amazing and she is so happy to go to school every day. St. Piers has been – and continues to be – a life changing experience for her. Absolutely outstanding in every way.

St. Piers School has been a lifesaver and changer for both myself and my son. I cannot express how wonderful the staff are, so caring, kind and just amazing. A fantastic environment for any child with special needs.
