Career workshops at Canterbury Christ Church University

On Tuesday 12 February a group of students from St Piers School visited Canterbury Christ Church University to talk about their plans for the future.

The group of six students were greeted by Canterbury Career Guidance Students and Lecturers, ready to commence individual career interviews and group workshops. The visit provided students with an opportunity to use the skills they have learned in school such as communication, self presentation and forward thinking in relation to their future aspirations. St Piers students presented themselves really well on the day and worked hard on their interview techniques and collaborative working. Alison Fielding, Lead Lecturer from Canterbury responsible for organising the afternoon said on behalf of the university: “It was a really great experience, and everyone – students and tutors – said how valuable they found it.”
