Aqua trainer

At St Piers we have a fantastic 17 foot teaching, hydrotherapy and swimming pool. Kept at a slightly higher temperature than public pools, it has a calming influence on many of our pupils. It’s great exercise too – especially for children who have slightly more complex needs or difficulty with movement.

Used by everyone for activities ranging from sensory swimming to confidence building and stroke development, the aqua trainer is also a favourite with the physiotherapy department for hydrotherapy and post-operative rehabilitation.

Feedback from parents

Quote Icon We were so apprehensive to send our son to a residential school but cannot believe the wonderful progress he has made and are so grateful to all the staff. The first time we returned from a term break he could not get out of the car quick enough with the biggest smile which was so reassuring. During his first break at home everyone commented on how much better his behaviour was and he was so much more relaxed himself. Thank-you.
