St Piers School

Reaching new heights,  overcoming barriers, enabling learning and independence

Key Information

St Piers School is a registered residential special school providing education to both day and residential pupils, aged 5 to 19.

Our school is made up of three phases, A lower school, middle school and upper school with a three-tiered approach to learning across these phases.

We have a high proportion of pupils with epilepsy, autism, severe learning difficulties and moderate learning difficulties as well as other complex neurological conditions.

We don’t believe any of these conditions or needs should get in the way of children reaching their full potential, achieving personal goals and academic success, leading fulfilled, healthy, and happy lives, and becoming valued members of their community.

The upper school follows a range of themes linked to life skills, independence, and preparation for adulthood with accredited courses starting at 14+.

We use a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of our curriculum and meeting the needs of our students which includes input from our onsite Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Education Psychologist and Play Therapist.

Our school values are embedded in our curriculum and in all that our students do, every day. These values are:

•    Be Empowered
•    Be Kind
•    Be Inspired
